Khulna:A man was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Rupsa upazila on Monday evening, 51 days following the murder of his son. The victim, Aktar Dhali, 64, was attacked in front of his home in Durjani Mahal village under Aichgati union.
According to United News of Bangladesh, Aktar was sitting outside his house around 7:30 pm when the assailants approached and shot him, subsequently fleeing the scene. This incident has incited fear among the local residents.
Senior police officials, upon receiving the news, visited the site of the attack, as stated by Rupsa Police Station Officer-in-Charge Anwar Zahid. The murder of Aktar's son, Joy Dhali, 27, occurred on August 15 in a similar attack in the same village.
