Nilphamari: Special Response Battalion (SRB) arrested a man along with 90 pieces of Yaba tablets and four bottles of ESkuf syrup from Uttar Berberi village under Kishoreganj Police Station of Nilphamari district on Wednesday night.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the arrested individual was identified as Mabu, 55, son of the late Mozammel Haque of the same village. The information was disclosed in a press release signed by SRB-13's Senior Assistant Director (Media) Biplab Kumar Goswami.
On a tip-off, an operational team of the SRB-13's Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-2 from Nilphamari Camp apprehended Mabu red-handed with the drugs from his house in the village at 11:05 pm. After filing a case under the Narcotics Control Act, 2018, the elite force handed over the seized drugs and the arrested person to Kishoreganj Police Station in Nilphamari district, the release added.
