Nilphamari: A madrasa teacher was killed in a road accident at Dimla upazila of the district today. The deceased was Md. Rafiqul Islam, 55, a resident of Burir Hat village in Khalishachapani union of the upazila.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the incident took place near Satibari Bazar this morning. A speeding trolley hit a motorcycle from behind, leaving its rider, Rafiqul, injured. He was rescued and taken to Dimla Upazila Health Complex, where he died while undergoing treatment.
Dimla Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md. Fazle Elahi confirmed the details of the accident and the subsequent passing of Md. Rafiqul Islam.
