During the announcement, BERC Chairman Jalal Ahmed emphasized the government’s efforts to ensure a stable LPG supply, which includes enhancing market monitoring through district administrations. He highlighted that the country’s monthly LPG demand is approximately 1.5 lakh metric tons, with a slight increase in imports indicating a positive trend for supply stability.

Jalal Ahmed also issued a warning that LPG and autogas must not be sold above the government-fixed prices at any point in the distribution chain. He stated that strict legal measures would be enforced against any violations. Present at the event were BERC commission members Md. Abdur Razzaque, Md. Mijanur Rahman, Dr. Syeda Sultana Razia, and Brig. General Md Shahid Sarwar (retd).
