Rajbari: A 10-day training programme under the “Livelihood Development Project for Marginal Professional Communities” has commenced in Rajbari, targeting the enhancement of socio-economic conditions and skills of disadvantaged professional groups. The inauguration ceremony took place this morning at the office of the Rajbari Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer, with UNO Nirupama Roy leading the event.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Deputy Director of the Rajbari District Social Services Office, Abu Saleh Md. Ali Ahsan, attended the programme as the chief guest. He emphasized the necessity of skill development to uplift the living standards of marginalised and disadvantaged communities. He further mentioned that the training is designed to equip participants with new knowledge and vocational skills, which would facilitate the creation of self-employment opportunities and promote economic self-reliance.
The training includes 30 participants from various areas of the upazila, all representing marginal professional communities. Officials highlighted that the 10-day course will feature hands-on sessions focused on diverse income-generating and vocational activities. These sessions aim to engage participants in productive work and enhance their livelihoods.
