Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecasted that light to moderate rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are likely to occur at many places across the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD bulletin indicated that regions including Dhaka, Khulna, Barishal, and Chattogram divisions are expected to experience these weather conditions. Additionally, one or two places in the Rajshahi, Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions may witness similar weather patterns, with possibilities of moderately heavy rainfall in some areas.
The meteorological department also predicted that both day and night temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged throughout the country. Currently, the monsoon is less active over Bangladesh but remains moderate over the North Bay. A low-pressure area is anticipated to form over the North Bay and its adjoining areas around September 24, 2025.
On Friday, Khulna recorded the highest temperature at 36.2 degrees Celsius, while the lowest temperature of 24.4 degrees Celsius was noted in Bandarban. In Dhaka, residents can expect the sun to set at 5:57 pm today and rise again at 5:47 am tomorrow.
