Light to Moderate Rain and Thunder Showers Forecast Across Bangladesh

Dhaka: The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has predicted that light to moderate rain or thunder showers, accompanied by temporary gusty winds, are likely to affect various regions across the country over the next 24 hours, starting from 9:00 am today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the BMD bulletin issued this morning indicated that the Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions are expected to experience these weather conditions. Additionally, the Rajshahi, Dhaka, and Chattogram divisions may also witness similar weather patterns, albeit at a few locations. Furthermore, one or two places in the Khulna and Barishal divisions might see such weather conditions, with moderately heavy to heavy rainfall anticipated in the Rangpur, Mymensingh, and Sylhet divisions.

The meteorological department also noted that day and night temperatures are likely to remain nearly unchanged across the country. The bulletin highlighted that the monsoon is currently fairly active over Bangladesh and moderately active over the North Bay.

On Tuesday, Badalgachhi and Chuadanga recorded the country's highest temperature at 36.4 degrees Celsius, while Sylhet registered the lowest temperature at 24.2 degrees Celsius. In the capital city of Dhaka, the sun is scheduled to set at 6:08 pm today and rise at 5:43 am tomorrow.
