Rajshahi:The Local Government Engineering Department (LGED) has commenced a special cleanliness drive in Rajshahi to combat dengue and other mosquito-borne diseases effectively.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the campaign, held at the LGED office premises, aims to raise awareness about the importance of destroying mosquito breeding grounds to prevent disease spread. The initiative focuses on cleaning accumulated garbage and maintaining cleanliness in potential mosquito breeding sites.
The program was inaugurated by Abul Kalam Azad Molla, the Executive Engineer of LGED Rajshahi. The event saw participation from LGED officials, employees, and local residents.
Abul Kalam Azad Molla emphasized that preventing dengue requires regular cleanliness efforts rather than solely relying on medicines or mosquito eradication measures. He encouraged everyone to maintain cleanliness in their homes and surrounding areas to curb the spread of dengue.
