DHAKA: Lawyers of Bangladesh Supreme Court (SC) today protested the aggressive behavior with Law Adviser Asif Nazrul abroad by a group of Awami miscreants. President of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Lawyers Forum and former president of Supreme Court Bar Association senior advocate Joynal Abedin addressed a protest rally arranged in this connection in front of SC Bar Association building. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Advocate Joynal Abedin stated that fascist Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has fled from the country in the face of the movement of students and the public, asserting she would never return. He claimed that the people of Bangladesh have permanently rejected Sheikh Hasina and vowed resistance if she attempts to return. Joynal Abedin further emphasized the unity among lawyers, students, and common people in protesting the aggressive behavior toward Asif Nazrul. He warned that the people would respond appropriately if such an incident occurred again. The rally was also addressed by several pr ominent figures including the president of the Supreme Court Bar Association Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon, Secretary General of Jatiyatabadi Lawyers Association Barrister Kaiser Kamal, organizing secretary Gazi Kamrul Islam Sajol, and former secretary of the Bar Barrister Ruhul Kuddus Kajol. The protest followed an incident at Geneva Airport in Switzerland where a group of Awami supporters allegedly misbehaved with law adviser Asif Nazrul while he was returning home after attending a convention. The adviser reportedly handled the situation with courage. News of the incident, which spread through social media, has stirred outrage across various segments of society, including the student community.
