Dhaka: Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Md Asaduzzaman emphasized that government service is not merely a profession but a significant opportunity to serve the citizens. 'When an officer performs his or her duties with honesty, dedication, competence and a strong sense of responsibility throughout their career, it not only strengthens government institutions but also plays a vital role in ensuring better services for the people,' he remarked during a farewell reception at the secretariat this afternoon. The event was organized by the Law and Justice Division for recently promoted officials and those proceeding on post-retirement leave.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the law minister stressed that the success of a ministry is not solely dependent on its minister, secretary, or senior officials. Instead, it relies on the effective performance of duties by every officer and employee within the ministry. He congratulated the promoted officials, noting that promotion is a source of joy and pride but also entails greater responsibilities. The minister called upon the officials to execute their new roles with increased dedication, efficiency, and professionalism, highlighting the crucial role of the Law and Justice Division in meeting public expectations.
Md Asaduzzaman also expressed gratitude to the officials who are proceeding on post-retirement leave, acknowledging their experience and contributions. He noted that their dedication and experience will serve as an inspiration for future generations of officials. The event was attended by Law and Justice Division Secretary Liaquet Ali Molla, Additional Secretary SM Ershadul Alam, Additional Secretary Md Khadem Ul Kayes, as well as various officials and employees from the division, including those recently promoted and those going on post-retirement leave.
