Law Enforcers Fully Prepared to Ensure Free, Fair Polls: Home Adviser

Savar: Home Adviser Lieutenant General (retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today assured that law enforcement agencies are fully prepared to ensure a free, fair, impartial, and peaceful upcoming 13th National Parliament election and referendum. He made these remarks while briefing journalists after inspecting an ‘Electoral Management Exercise’ at Tetuljhora College polling centre in Savar upazila of Dhaka district.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the adviser highlighted that the exercise demonstrated effective polling centre management and the use of modern technology. This included the deployment of body-worn cameras, the installation of CCTV, the utilization of drones, and the integration of the ‘Election Security App 2026’. He emphasized that the maximum use of information technology will be ensured in the election process.



Senior officials from the Home Ministry, police, and other law enforcement agencies were also present during the exercise, reinforcing the commitment to a secure electoral environment.
