Earlier, the adviser, along with senior police officials, visited the ongoing special activities of the law-enforcing agencies aimed at strengthening people’s security in different parts of the city.
Asif Mahmud emphasized that any attempts to jeopardize people’s security during the country’s crisis, whether through political unrest or criminal activities, will not be tolerated. He expressed optimism that the situation would improve soon.
DMP Commissioner Sheikh Md Sajjat Ali added, “We have started a massive crackdown. The drive is being carried out through enlisting the identified criminals. A total of 65 check posts have been set up across the capital.” He also mentioned that while incidents of snatching occurred in the past, they were not widely reported, and nowadays, people tend to record videos instead of resisting criminal activities.
