Law and Order Maintained During Eid, Says Home Adviser

Dhaka: Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Rtd) Jahangir Alam Chowdhury today stated that the law and order situation in the country during Eid-ul-Azha was satisfactory. He noted that aside from a few minor incidents in the capital, no major crimes were reported, expressing satisfaction with the security measures in place.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the adviser conveyed his remarks while speaking to journalists following a visit to the Jatrabari police station in the morning. During the visit, he conducted a thorough inspection of the police station, including the duty officer’s desk, women and children’s desk, and hajat khana. He also took the opportunity to exchange Eid greetings with the police officials on duty.



Furthermore, the adviser visited a plot of land earmarked for the construction of police lines in the Demra area. He directed the officials to expedite the development of the land to facilitate the project.
