The Coast Guard has seized 2,850 litres of illegally stored fuel and 900 litres of adulterated edible oil from Daulatkhan in Bhola. Coast Guard media officer Lieutenant Commander Sabbir Alam Sujon confirmed the information this afternoon.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, acting on a tip-off, a special operation was conducted by Coast Guard Base Bhola at around 10 pm on Thursday in the Beuti Road area near an embankment in Daulatkhan police station. During the drive, six shops were searched, resulting in the seizure of fuel worth about Tk 540,750, including diesel, petrol, and octane, along with 900 litres of adulterated edible oil.
The seized fuel will be sold at market price under the supervision of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Daulatkhan, while the adulterated edible oil is being prepared for disposal.
