Dhaka: Land Minister Mohammad Mizanur Rahman Minu today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of Dilara Hafiz, wife of Jatiya Sangsad (JS) Speaker Major (Retd.) Hafiz Uddin Ahmed. In a condolence message, he acknowledged her significant contributions to the country’s education sector, noting that her efforts will be remembered forever.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Dilara Hafiz was a dedicated educationist whose work had a lasting impact on educational development in the nation. The minister emphasized the loss felt by the nation, describing her as a worthy guardian whose absence will be profoundly felt.
In his message, Mizanur Rahman Minu prayed for the eternal peace of her departed soul and conveyed his deep sympathy to the bereaved family. He also prayed to Almighty Allah to grant her Jannatul Ferdous and provide strength to her family during this difficult time.
Dilara Hafiz passed away at 11:29am Bangladesh time today at the age of 78 while receiving treatment at Singapore General Hospital.
