Rajshahi:Land Minister Md Mizanur Rahman Minu has donated a total of Taka 17 lakh to 85 puja mandaps in Rajshahi metropolis in celebration of Sharadiya Durga Puja.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, each mandap received Taka 20,000 as part of the financial assistance distributed during an event held on Saturday afternoon at Dharmasabha in the city. The event also included an exchange of views with representatives of the puja mandaps and members of the Sanatan community.
While speaking as the chief guest at the event, the land minister emphasized the importance of communal harmony in Bangladesh, noting the historical cordiality of Rajshahi. He assured that the government is providing comprehensive support to ensure the Hindu community can celebrate Durga Puja safely and festively.
The event was attended by Rajshahi District BNP Member Secretary Bishwanath Sarkar and several Sanatan religious leaders.
