Dhaka: Land Adviser Ali Imam Majumder today urged land officials to set a precedent for future generations by delivering improved services. “The main cause of social or family disputes in our country is land and the Almighty has given all people rights to this land,” he stated during the closing and certificate presentation ceremony of the 38th Survey and Settlement Training Course-25 at Bhumi Bhaban in the city’s Tejgaon area.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the training course was attended by 81 officers from the Administration, Police, Forest, and Bangladesh Judicial Services under the Public Service Commission (PSC). Ali Imam Majumder highlighted the numerous challenges currently facing the land sector and called on officials to adhere strictly to the state’s rules and regulations at all times. He also emphasized the importance of caution in the leasing of government lands.

“You have to remember that you are engaged in state responsibilities and have to work maximum for the country,” Majumder reminded the attendees. He also instructed the relevant authorities to update the existing training syllabus to reflect contemporary needs.

Majumder noted the government’s progress in digitalizing land services, stating that digital surveys and mapping should be included in future training courses. The event was chaired by Dr. Md Mahmud Hassan, Director General of the Land Records and Survey Directorate, with Senior Secretary of the Land Ministry ASM Saleh Ahmed, Chairman of the Land Reforms Board AJM Salahuddin Nagri, and Chairman of the Land Appeal Board Muhammad Ibrahim serving as special guests.

The Land Adviser and other dignitaries concluded the ceremony by awarding certificates to the training course participants.
