Manikganj:The 136th death anniversary of revered philosopher and spiritual leader Lalon Shah was observed in Manikganj, organized by the Manikganj District Administration.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event featured Food Minister Afroza Khanam Rita as the chief guest. She highlighted how Lalon Shah's philosophy resonates deeply with the public and his followers. The ceremony was chaired by the Deputy Commissioner of Manikganj, Nazmun Ara Sultana.
Other notable speakers included Superintendent of Police Mohammad Sarwar Alam, Manikganj Press Club President Zahangir Alam Biswas, and Shamim Biswas from the Jasas Manikganj District Convening Committee. A keynote paper was delivered by Saiful Islam, Secretary of Singair Upazila Jasas, and the programme was conducted by Executive Magistrate Umme Sumaiya.
The event concluded with a musical soiree that captivated attendees.
