A bilateral meeting was held between Labour, Employment and Social Security Minister Sharat Singh Bhandari and the Health, Labour and Welfare Minister of Japan, Keizo Takemi, in Japan. Minister Bhandari is currently on an official visit to Japan.
On the occasion, they discussed regarding implementation of the labor agreement between the governments of Nepal and Japan signed in 2019.
Kaviraj Upreti, Deputy Spokesperson of the Ministry, who participated in the visiting delegation, informed the RSS the delegation reached to the conclusion to forward the work after further studies in the areas.
There has also been an agreement between them to do homework for cooperation through a bilateral agreement regarding social security.
On this occasion, Minister Bhandari said that the procedure for sending Nepali workers from Nepal to Japan has been approved and implemented. He informed that once the licensed organization is listed in the Foreign Employment Department and the Nepali Embassy in Tokyo verifies the dema
nd letter, the process of Nepali workers going to Japan will begin.
The Japanese counterpart, Keizo, welcomed the procedure of ‘Special Skilled Workers’ (SSW) approved by Nepal and said that they are eager for new cooperation in the labor sector.
