Kushtia: The Kushtia district handball league has begun at Kushtia Government College ground today (Monday). The league commenced with a rally, which was jointly inaugurated by Kushtia’s additional deputy commissioner, Md Jahangir Alam, and district league coordinator and joint member secretary, Sayeed Ahmed.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, on the opening day, the Kushtia Zilla school handball team emerged victorious against Khelaghar Krira Sangha with a score of 14-4. In other matches, Bahirmadi Sports defeated Durbachora Brothers 11-3, while Surjashena Club outplayed Khelaghar Krira Sangha with a 13-3 win.
A total of eight teams, divided into two groups, are participating in the league. The event is organized by the Kushtia District Sports Association and sponsored by Moushumi Industries Limited.
