KU Vice-Chancellor Lauds Art Students for Displaying Creative Brilliance

Khulna: Khulna University (KU) Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Md Rezaul Karim praised the creative works of art students, acknowledging their remarkable talent, dedication, and perseverance. He made these remarks during the inauguration of a four-day special art exhibition organized by the Drawing and Painting Discipline at the School of Fine Arts courtyard.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Vice-Chancellor commended the students for showcasing their creativity and intellectual depth through innovative artworks despite various challenges. He expressed his belief that these young artists will eventually earn national and international recognition, bringing glory to Khulna University.

The event was graced by KU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Md Harunur Rashid Khan, Treasurer Prof Dr Md Nurunnabi, Acting Dean of the School of Fine Arts Prof Dr Sheikh Sirajul Hakim, and Student Affairs Director Prof Dr Md Nazmus Sadat as special guests. The program was presided over by Drawing and Painting Discipline Head Dr Md Tariqat Islam and featured remarks from the Discipline Alumni Association President Mahbub-e-Khuda.

During the ceremony, student Md Saifullah Abir was awarded the Artist Shashibhushan Pal Grand Award. Additionally, two meritorious students from each semester of both bachelor's and master's programs were honored for their achievements.

The VC formally inaugurated the exhibition by cutting a ribbon at the Shashibhushan Pal Art Gallery. The exhibition, featuring 120 artworks by 95 students, will be open to visitors daily from 10 am to 8 pm until October 24.
