Khulna: Khulna University (KU) Vice Chancellor Prof Mohammad Rezaul Karim today stressed the need for transparency and accountability in financial management across institutional activities.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prof Mohammad Rezaul Karim made these remarks during the inaugural session of a daylong workshop titled "Financial Management in Government Sector: Accounting, Auditing and Compliance," organized by the Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at the lecture theatre of the Urban and Rural Planning (URP) Discipline. The vice chancellor highlighted the critical role that sound financial management plays in effective institutional governance, emphasizing that all financial activities must be conducted transparently and responsibly.
In his address, Prof Karim also underscored the importance of professional development, stating that acquiring professional skills in the workplace is indispensable. He urged teachers, officials, and staff to cultivate a learning mindset and develop the ability to tackle challenges, aiming to transform Khulna University into an exemplary institution in the country.
The workshop was presided over by IQAC Director Professor Dr. Mohammad Mostafizur Rahman.
