Khulna Jubo Dal Launches Month-Long Mosquito Control Campaign Amid Rising Dengue Cases

Khulna: Khulna City Jubo Dal today launched a month-long mosquito control campaign in the city amid a sharp rise in dengue cases. As part of the campaign, the Jubo Dal unit of Ward No. 30 under Sadar Thana conducted a mosquito-killing drive using fogging machines.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Khulna City BNP Organizing Secretary Chowdhury Hasanur Rashid Miraj inaugurated the programme as the chief guest, while City Jubo Dal Convener Abdul Aziz Suman attended as the chief inaugurator. Speaking on the occasion, Miraj emphasized that dengue has taken an alarming turn in the city, stressing the need for greater public awareness to contain its spread. He urged city dwellers to remain alert and come forward with collective efforts to combat dengue.

Suman highlighted the necessity for immediate and effective measures to contain the dengue outbreak, warning that any delay could worsen the situation. He called upon the administration, public representatives, political and social organisations, and people from all walks of life to work together to prevent the spread of dengue.

City Jubo Dal Joint Convener Rakibul Islam Rakib and leaders of Sadar Thana Jubo Dal were, among others, present. The programme was led by Ward-30 Jubo Dal Convener Shamsur Rahman Nishan and Member Secretary Sheikh Arif Billah Rana.
