Dhaka: BNP Chairperson and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia is currently on complete rest as per the advice of the Medical Board after returning home from London following a four-month-long treatment.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, BNP Media Cell Member Shyrul Kabir Khan stated that doctors are regularly monitoring Khaleda Zia’s health, and she is in stable condition. He mentioned that after her extensive travel, the Medical Board advised her to rest completely, and she is complying with this recommendation.
It is reported that doctors are visiting her residence on a scheduled basis to ensure her health is maintained. Khaleda Zia is receiving treatment in accordance with the advice of doctors at The London Clinic and remains under the constant observation of the Medical Board.
In recent days, only family members and close relatives have been visiting her. She is reportedly spending quality time with her family. Sources indicate that she is in good spirits, and doctors have advised her to engage in light walking rather than continuous sitting. Her personal physician, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain, is coordinating her health management. Additionally, she is being provided with home-cooked meals as per the doctors’ recommendations.
Khaleda Zia returned to Bangladesh on May 6 after her treatment in the UK. Upon arrival, she went directly to her Gulshan residence, Feroza, accompanied by her daughters-in-law, Dr. Zubaida Rahman and Syeda Shamila Rahman.
