Keraniganj Fire: Iman Ullah Put on 3-Day Remand

Dhaka: A Dhaka court on Monday placed Iman Ullah on a three-day remand in connection with a case filed over the massive fire that claimed the lives of six people in Kadamtoli area of Keraniganj on April 4. Dhaka Senior Judicial Magistrate Md Tanvir Ahmed passed the order when sub-inspector of Keraniganj Model Police Station Rafiqul Islam produced him before the court with a ten-day remand prayer in the case.



According to United News of Bangladesh, Iman Ullah Mastan was arrested by police on April 5 from the Kadamtoli area of South Keraniganj in Dhaka. The court has scheduled the next hearing for Monday. The tragic incident on April 4 saw a fire break out at a gas lighter factory in the Kadamtoli Golchattar area, claiming six lives and leaving several others with burn injuries.



Jewel Rana, a sub-inspector of South Keraniganj Police Station, filed a case against three individuals, including Iman Ullah. The other accused were identified as Akram Ullah Akram, the owner of the factory, and his son Ahnaf Akif Akram.
