Kathmandu Invites Bangladeshi Foreign Adviser to Sagarmatha Sambaad

Dhaka: Nepalese foreign affairs minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba has extended an invitation to Bangladeshi foreign adviser Md Touhid Hossain to visit Kathmandu. The visit is intended for Hossain to attend the inaugural edition of ‘Sagarmatha Sambaad,’ scheduled from May 16-18.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the invitation was personally delivered by Nepal Ambassador to Bangladesh, Ghanashyam Bhandari, who met with the foreign adviser at the foreign ministry. This meeting facilitated a review of recent positive developments aimed at bolstering economic cooperation between the two nations.



The discussion also encompassed topics of mutual interest, such as ongoing initiatives in trade, energy, connectivity, climate change, tourism, and fostering people-to-people contacts. Further dialogue centered on expediting efforts to maximize mutual benefits from regional and sub-regional frameworks like SAARC, BIMSTEC, and BBIN.
