Kacchi Dine Fined Tk 3 Lakh for Unhygienic Food Preparation

Chawkbazar: A restaurant named Kacchi Dine in the Chawkbazar area was fined Taka 3 lakh by a mobile court for preparing food in unhygienic conditions. The court, led by Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Sonia Haque, conducted a drive and discovered evidence of cockroaches and rats infesting the kitchen.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the restaurant’s kitchen and raw material storage were found to be unhygienic, with a damp floor and unsanitary conditions. Additionally, the mobile court uncovered several irregularities at the restaurant, including the absence of purchase receipts, lack of health certificates for food workers, and incomplete labels on their ‘Mawa’ product.
