Dhaka: President Mohammed Shahabuddin has removed Justice Khizir Hayat of the High Court Division from his post on March 18.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the Law, Justice, and Parliamentary Affairs Ministry sources confirmed that the Law and Justice Division issued a gazette notification on March 19 regarding this removal. The notification was signed by Law and Justice Division Secretary Sheikh Abu Taher.
The gazette stated that President Shahabuddin removed Justice Khizir Hayat from his position in accordance with section (6) of Article 96 of the constitution.
