Dhaka: The Chief Justice has nominated Justice Farah Mahbub for the vacation bench of the Appellate Division (AD) of the Supreme Court (SC), according to a notification published on the SC website.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the notification stated that Justice Farah Mahbub has been nominated as a vacation judge to handle urgent matters related to cases of the Appellate Division from September 21 to October 16 during the ongoing vacation.
Justice Farah Mahbub began her duties by addressing urgent matters in Chamber Court No. 2 of the Appellate Division, originally scheduled for September 21. However, the bench proceeding was postponed on that date to honor the late Md. Salauddin Ahmed, a senior lawyer of the Supreme Court and former Attorney General of Bangladesh.
