Dhaka: The government has extended the tenure of Justice Md Emdadul Haque as the Director General (DG) of the Judicial Administration Training Institute (JATI) for one more year. The extension came into effect from November 20, 2025. This decision allows him to continue overseeing the institute's judicial training and capacity-building programmes.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the government initially appointed the retired judge of the High Court Division as the director general of JATI on November 19, 2024. At that time, a Law and Justice Division gazette notification stated that he would enjoy salary, allowance, and other benefits equivalent to those of a High Court Division judge.
