JUST Debating Club Triumphs at Khulna University Competition

Jashore: Jashore University of Science and Technology (JUST) Debating Club claimed victory in the “4th Nyayaique Nationals -2025,” a competitive inter-university debating event hosted by Khulna University Debating Club.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the JUST Debating Club secured their win by defeating the Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP) Debating Club in the grand finale. The final showdown took place on Saturday evening at Khulna University’s Liaquat Ali Auditorium.



The event was graced by Khulna University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Rezaul Karim, who served as the chief guest. He highlighted the importance of debating as a tool for self-development, helping students enhance their intellectual capabilities and preparing them for both academic and professional futures.



Abdul Hai Shikder, the editor of Daily Jugantor, poet, and journalist, delivered the keynote speech. He underscored the significance of young debaters in shaping the future of Bangladesh, emphasizing that through argument and reasoning, they can identify societal and state flaws. Shikder noted that such competitions promote free thinking and the nurturing of responsible citizens.



The event also featured KU Pro-Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Md. Harunur Rashid Khan, Student Affairs Director Prof. Dr. Md. Nazmus Sadat, and TIB Deputy Coordinator Zafar Sadiq as special guests. This year’s competition attracted participation from 28 teams representing various universities nationwide.
