Faisalabad:The Bangladesh Women's Under-19 team clinched a 13-run victory against Pakistan in the Women's U19 Tri-nation Series at Iqbal Stadium, securing the top position in the table temporarily.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Farzana Easmim Medha delivered a remarkable all-round performance, contributing significantly to Bangladesh's success. After winning the toss and electing to bat, Bangladesh set a target of 139-5 in 20 overs. The team's disciplined bowling restricted Pakistan to 126-7.

Sadia Akter led the scoring for Bangladesh with a 33-run innings, supported by Medha's 28 off 22 balls and Sadia Islam's 24 from 21. Medha further showcased her prowess by taking 3 wickets for 25 runs, disrupting Pakistan's batting order.

Komal Khan offered resistance for Pakistan with a top score of 36 from 29 balls, while Ravail Farhan and Jufishan Ayaz both added 32 runs. Despite a promising start, Pakistan faltered towards the end, requiring 21 runs in the final over but managing only seven.

In addition to Medha's impact, Nishita Akhtar Nishi took 2-28, and Tithi Das Aparna delivered an economical spell, conceding just eight runs for one wicket. This victory marked Bangladesh's second win against Pakistan in the series, having previously beaten them by 30 runs in the opening match before a loss to Sri Lanka.
