July Warriors and Martyrs’ Families to Receive Rehabilitation Support, Says Faruk-e-Azam

Dhaka: Liberation War Affairs Adviser Faruk-e-Azam Bir Pratik announced plans to rehabilitate the July warriors and the families of martyrs, emphasizing that they will be provided with occupational training. 'The Liberation War Affairs Ministry has introduced monthly allowances for the July warriors and martyrs' families,' he stated while addressing an inter-ministerial meeting focused on their rehabilitation and wellbeing.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Faruk-e-Azam highlighted the importance of recognizing the contributions of the July warriors and martyrs by keeping the spirit of July alive. He mentioned that the Liberation War Affairs Ministry has already established committees in all districts and upazilas to oversee the rehabilitation and welfare of the July martyrs, which will take necessary measures in this regard.

The adviser also assured that injured July Uprising participants will receive appropriate treatment both domestically and internationally. He noted that 78 July warriors have already been sent abroad for advanced medical care. The meeting revealed that the ministry has disbursed a total of Taka 147.92 crore among 12,043 July warriors.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Housing and Public Works Ministry, the Secretary of Science and Technology Ministry, and other relevant officials.
