July Uprising Martyrs Families in Pirojpur Given Grocery Shops

Pirojpur: Five martyrs families of the July-August uprising have received business opportunities as they have been given grocery shops to help them become economically self-sufficient.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Barishal Divisional Commissioner M Raihan Kauser handed over the keys of the shops to the family members of the martyrs at a function held at the Shaheed Abdur Razzak Saif Mizan Memorial Conference Room in the Deputy Commissioner’s office. The event took place with Pirojpur Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Ashraful Alam Khan presiding.



Barisal Additional Divisional Commissioner (General) Md. Sohrab Hossain and Pirojpur Additional Superintendent of Police, recently promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police, Sheikh Mostafizur Rahman attended as special guests. The ceremony also saw the attendance of student representatives from the anti-discrimination movement and officials from several government departments.



Earlier in the day, at 11 am, Divisional Commissioner M Raihan Kauser inaugurated the Nutrition Olympiad, which was organized by teenagers from various educational institutions at Pirojpur Government Boys High School.
