July Martyrs Day Observed in Rajshahi with Solemnity

Rajshahi: Various government and non-government organizations and educational institutions observed the July Martyrs Day-2025 with due solemnity here today. To mark the day, the district administration held a memorial meeting and doa mahfil at its conference hall paying rich tribute to the martyrs.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the event was chaired by Deputy Commissioner Afia Akhter and addressed by notable figures such as Commissioner of Rajshahi division Khondoker Azim Ahmed, Commissioner of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Muhammad Abu Sufiyan, and Superintendent of Police Farzana Islam. Family members of the martyrs and those injured in the July movement were present at the meeting and participated in the discussions.



Commissioner Azim Ahmed expressed his respects and sympathy to the families of the martyrs and injured individuals. He highlighted the significance of the July movement as an important milestone in Bangladesh’s democratic history, describing the martyrs’ sacrifices as a glorious chapter.



RMP Commissioner Abu Sufiyan acknowledged the martyrs’ ultimate sacrifice for democratic rights and assured that RMP would remain committed to ensuring the security of the martyrs’ family members. The meeting concluded with a doa mahfil, seeking divine blessings for the departed souls and expressing sympathy to the bereaved families.



Rajshahi Medical University also observed the day, joining in the commemoration with due respect.
