JUCSU Election Sees Strong Interest with 132 Nomination Forms Collected on Opening Day

Dhaka: A total of 132 nomination forms were collected on the first day of the Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JUCSU) and hall union elections scheduled for September 11.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, 46 forms were collected for various posts in the central students’ union, while 86 forms were picked up for the 21 hall unions. Professor AKM Rashedul Alam, who serves as the member secretary of the JUCSU Election Commission and the university’s proctor, provided this update.



Additionally, the Jahangirnagar University unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has requested the election commission to extend the deadline for collecting and submitting nomination forms by two days. Professor Rashidul stated that this request will be discussed at the commission’s next meeting.
