Dhaka: Jatiyatabadi Jubo Dal President Abdul Monayem Munna emphasized the need for ongoing cleanliness and public awareness efforts in every ward of Dhaka North Jubo Dal to combat dengue. He addressed this issue during the launch of a public awareness leaflet distribution program held in front of IPH Mosque in Mohakhali.
According to United News of Bangladesh, this leaflet distribution initiative is part of a broader dengue prevention campaign organized by the Jubo Dal Central Executive Committee. Jubo Dal leaders and activists actively participated in the distribution, informing the public of necessary measures to prevent dengue.
Munna highlighted that these activities should extend beyond the initial seven-day program, advocating for continuous cleanliness and awareness campaigns in every ward. He urged the assignment of responsible leaders to each ward to regularly engage with the community and enhance awareness about dengue prevention.
He also encouraged Jubo Dal leaders and activists to utilize the campaign to support ordinary citizens. Jubo Dal General Secretary and lawmaker Mohammad Nurul Islam Nayan reiterated that dengue prevention is an ongoing effort, stressing the importance of year-round awareness to maintain public health.
He further called on citizens to perceive dengue prevention and cleanliness activities not just as a Jubo Dal initiative but as a civic duty. The Jubo Dal aims to inspire youth participation in dengue prevention through this program.
The program's overall management was overseen by Jubo Dal Central Executive Committee Vice-President and Dhaka North Jubo Dal Convener Sharif Uddin Jewel, along with Central Executive Committee Joint General Secretary and North Jubo Dal Member Secretary Sazzadul Miraj.
