JU Nationalist Teachers’ Forum Elects New Executive Body

Jahangirnagar: The Nationalist Teachers’ Forum (NTF), a pro-Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) teachers’ body at Jahangirnagar University, has elected its new executive body. Chief Election Commissioner Prof. Khondokar Mohammad Shariful Huda of the Geography and Environment Department announced the results around 1 pm at the teachers’ lounge of the university’s central cafeteria.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Prof. Md. Shamsul Alam from the Government and Politics Department has been elected as President. Prof. Md. Jamal Uddin of the Environmental Sciences Department has taken the role of General Secretary, while Prof. Mohammad Nazrul Islam from the Mathematics Department will serve as Organizing Secretary.



The newly appointed Vice Presidents include Prof. Saleh Ahmmad Khan, Prof. Mostofa Nazmul Mansur, Prof. Md. Shahadat Hossain, Prof. Mohammad Mamun Hossain, and Prof. Nasrin Sultana. Additionally, Prof. Md. Zakir Hossain, Prof. Borhan Uddin, and Prof. Mohammad Raihan Sharif have been elected as Joint General Secretaries.



In other positions, Prof. Md. Monowar Hossain has been elected Treasurer, with Prof. Aminur Rahman Khan as the Office Secretary. Md. Al-Amin Khan will serve as Joint Organizing Secretary, and Prof. Md. Fazlul Karim Patowary has been designated as Information and Technology Secretary. Prof. Md. Nazrul Islam will also take on the role of Environment and Research Secretary.



The election was conducted under the supervision of Prof. Khondokar Mohammad Shariful Huda, with assistance from election commissioners Prof. Nazmul Alam and Prof. Md. Manzoor Elahee. The voting took place between 10 am and 12 pm.
