JU Authorities Form JUCSU Appeal Committee

Jahangirnagar university: Jahangirnagar University (JU) authorities have established a three-member appeal committee to address complaints related to the recently conducted Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JUCSU) elections held on September 11.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, JU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Mohammad Kamrul Ahsan constituted the committee on Tuesday, adhering to article 8(J) of the JUCSU Constitution 2025. This formation was confirmed by JU’s acting registrar A B M Azizur Rahman. The committee comprises Associate Professor Abu Sayef Md Muntaquimul Bari Chowdhury, acting Dean of the Business Studies faculty, Prof Dr Md Abdul Halim, Provost of Shaheed Salam-Barkat Hall, and Prof Dr A K M Rashidul Alam, JU Proctor.



Per the JUCSU Constitution, complaints regarding the election can be submitted to the JUCSU President within three days of the election results. The appeal committee is required to resolve these issues within 14 days.
