Dhaka: Journalist and Jatiya Press Club (JPC) member Abdul Halim passed away due to old-age complications at his residence in the city. He was 85 years old and leaves behind his wife, a daughter, and numerous relatives and well-wishers who mourn his loss.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Halim began his career at the weekly newspaper Janata in 1966 and served as a news editor at the daily Janakantha until his death. His Namaz-e-Janaza was conducted at Khilgaon Shahi Mosque, and he will be laid to rest at Taltola graveyard.
JPC President Hasan Hafiz and General Secretary Ayub Bhuiyan expressed deep shock and sorrow at Abdul Halim's passing. In their condolence message, they prayed for the eternal peace of his soul and extended heartfelt sympathy to his grieving family.
