Jhenaidah: A team of joint forces in a drive arrested two persons with arms, ammunition, and various weapon-making equipment from Teghrihuda village under Kaliganj upazila of the district last night. The arrested individuals have been identified as Lal Mia, 40, son of Rustam Mandal, and Jahangir Alam, 35, son of Nuruzzaman, both residents of the same area within the upazila. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, during the drive, law enforcers recovered a locally-made pipe gun, three rounds of rifle bullets, one round of shotgun bullets, two rifle shells, weapon-making equipment, and cash amounting to Taka 21,550 from the suspects. The operation was conducted based on secret information. Officer-in-charge (OC) of Kaliganj Police Station, Shahidul Islam, informed that a case has been filed against the arrested individuals under the Arms and Explosives Control Act at Kaliganj Police Station.
