Joint Forces Arrest 33 Suspected Criminals Nationwide

Dhaka: The joint forces in separate operations have arrested 33 suspected criminals across the country during the last one week. 'The joint forces have been carrying out various operations aimed at controlling the overall law and order situation in the country,' according to an Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) release here today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, it was stated that the Bangladesh Army has been performing its duties with utmost professionalism, discipline, and dedication in order to control the overall law and order situation in the country. In continuation of the drive, several units under various infantry divisions and independent brigades of Bangladesh Army, in coordination with other law and order forces, conducted joint operations across the country, including the capital, from December 4, 2025, to December 11, 2025.

The ISPR release mentioned that the joint forces' operations resulted in the arrest of a total of 33 suspected criminals, including terrorists, drug dealers, drug addicts, robbers, juvenile gang members, and smugglers. During the operation, the forces also recovered 10 firearms, 12 rounds of various types of ammunition, 12 cocktails, local and foreign manufactured narcotics, and local and foreign sharp weapons from their possession.

The detainees were handed over to the respective police stations for necessary legal proceedings. It was also noted that the Bangladesh Army has been conducting regular patrolling and security operations in different regions to ensure public safety across the country. 'Such activities of the army will continue to maintain the overall law and order situation in the country,' the ISPR added.

The ISPR further requested all citizens to inform the nearest army camp if any suspicious or unusual activity is observed.
