Jhenaidah:Mission Acharya, who excelled academically despite severe poverty and was recommended for a government primary school teaching position, faces an appointment delay due to a lack of a permanent address.

According to United News of Bangladesh, Mission, 30, completed his studies in Finance and Banking from Islamic University, achieving high marks in both his secondary and higher secondary education. Despite passing the required examinations for the primary assistant teacher role, the Jhenaidah District Primary Education Office has withheld his appointment letter citing issues with his permanent address.

Out of 182 candidates from the district, 180 have received their appointment letters, while Mission continues to seek resolution from government offices. His mother, Moyna Acharya, supported Mission and his brother through work as a domestic helper after their father abandoned the family. Mission owns a small piece of land gifted by his uncle but has been unable to build a home due to financial constraints. His official documents list their rented home in Kalabagan, Jhenaidah as his address, which was verified by police.

Mission's friends, including Jihad Hossain, have rallied to support him, highlighting the social injustice of withholding his appointment due to lack of property ownership. Jhenaidah District Primary Education Officer Md Amzad Hossain stated that the matter, complicated by legal issues regarding Mission's address, has been forwarded to the Directorate of Primary Education for resolution.

Jhenaidah Deputy Commissioner Md Noman Hossain confirmed that efforts are underway to address the legal complications, expressing hope for a satisfactory resolution soon.
