Jet Fuel Prices in Bangladesh Adjusted for November 2026

Dhaka:The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has announced an adjustment in the price of Jet A-1 fuel for domestic and international airlines to Tk. 189.03 and $1.1637 per litre, respectively. This adjustment will take effect from midnight leading into November 6, 2026.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the new pricing was determined based on the Platts Rate from October 5 to November 4, 2026. The Secretary of BERC, Md Nazrul Islam Sarkar, issued a circular detailing the decision.

Today, BERC conducted a public hearing under Sections 22 (Kha) and 34 of the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission Act, 2003, in response to proposals from the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC) and Padma Oil Company Limited (POCL). The commission considered the average Platts Rate of Jet A-1 and the US dollar exchange rate used in BPC's Letter of Credit settlements to adjust the price for August.

A committee formed by BERC submitted its report for November, reviewing international Platts rates, the US dollar exchange rate, and changes in transportation costs. The order stipulates that the monthly price of Jet A-1 will be adjusted based on the average published Platts Rate for the prior month, from the 5th of one month to the 4th of the next.
