Dhaka: Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) will visit the graves of martyrs and meet their family members across the country on July 28 and 29 to pay tribute to the heroes of the historic July mass uprising. During this two-day nationwide program, JCD leaders plan to hand over gift items on behalf of Prime Minister Tarique Rahman to the families of the martyrs, as noted in a JCD press release today.

According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the JCD Central Executive Committee will lead the initiative, with leaders and activists from all university, district, city corporation, upazila, college, and municipal units participating simultaneously on Tuesday and Wednesday (July 28 and 29). They will offer prayers for the eternal peace of the martyrs, honor their sacrifices, and support their bereaved families.

This initiative is part of JCD's month-long programs announced to commemorate the second anniversary of the historic July uprising. The observances aim to honor the martyrs and injured, preserve historical memories, recognize the contributions of all stakeholders, consolidate anti-fascist national unity, and celebrate the victory.

Earlier, JCD President Rakibul Islam Rakib and General Secretary Nasir Uddin Nasir announced the month-long program on behalf of the central committee.
