Habiganj: The Habiganj district unit of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) has announced the formation of new committees in 17 educational institutions within the district. This initiative is part of a wider strategy aimed at introducing qualitative and structural changes in student politics in the region.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, the committees were approved by President Shah Rajib Ahmed Ringon and Secretary Md. Jillur Rahman of the district unit. Md. Jillur Rahman stated that these educational institutions previously lacked formal committees, and the newly established bodies are in line with directives from the central Chhatra Dal.
The institutions where the new committees have been formed include Dimura Rahmaniya Fazil Madrasa in Bahubal Upazila, Habiganj Government Women's College, Habiganj Darussunnah Kamil Madrasa, Shayestaganj Model Kamil Madrasa, and Dharmaghar Degree College Madhabpur, among others. This development marks a significant step in organizing and structuring student representation and activities in these educational settings across Habiganj.
