Dhaka: A joint team of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) and police arrested former Jatiya Party lawmaker Yahya Chowdhury from the city's Uttara area on Monday night. Chowdhury, who represented the Sylhet-2 constituency, is being held in connection with multiple legal cases. According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Chowdhury's arrest is linked to at least two cases filed with Kotwali Police Station in Sylhet. One of these cases involves charges of attempted murder. Following his arrest, Chowdhury was transported to Sylhet for further proceedings.
