Jamaat Observes July Uprising Anniversary with Procession and Rally in Bagerhat

Bagerhat: The district unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami today organized a mass procession and rally to observe the first anniversary of the July Uprising. The procession commenced from Dashani Intersection, weaving through the main streets of the city, before concluding at the starting point.



According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, a rally followed the procession at Dashani Intersection, where Jamaat Central Majlish-e-Shura member and District Ameer Maulana Rezaul Karim addressed the gathering as the chief guest. The event saw participation from key figures including District Jamaat Secretary Sheikh Mohammad Yunus, central Majlish-e-Shura member and district Nayeb-e-Ameer Maulana Sheikh Abdul Wadud, assistant secretary Prof Iqbal Hossain, Mizanur Rahman Mallick, Chhatra Shibir district president Hafez Morshed Alam, and secretary general Ahmed Abdullah.



During his speech, Maulana Rezaul Karim demanded visible progress in the trial of the July massacres, emphasizing the need for accountability and justice. The rally served as a platform for Jamaat leaders to reiterate their call for governmental actions regarding the events of the previous year.
