Khulna: Secretary General of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami and former lawmaker Professor Mia Golam Parwar announced that Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami has finalized its preparations for the upcoming national elections by fielding candidates in all 300 constituencies across the country.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Parwar, speaking as the chief guest at a reunion of Khulna City Unit Bangladesh Islami Chhatra Shibir (ICS) at the Al Faruq Society auditorium, emphasized the importance for every worker of Jamaat to enter the election field with full strength. He highlighted the significance of the current time as appropriate for promoting Deen (Islam) to the people across all parliamentary constituencies.
Parwar called upon former ICS student leaders and activists to actively participate in shaping the country’s future. The event, held under the theme “Drawn by Harmony, Back to the Roots (1977-2025),” was characterized by emotional reflections on the past contributions of former leaders.
During his address, Parwar reminisced about the sacrifices of several former leaders, including Aminul Islam Biman, Sheikh Abdul Halim, Amanullah Aman, Rahmat Ali, Abul Kashem Pathan, and journalist Sheikh Belal Uddin, acknowledging their roles as a significant part of the party’s history. This created an emotionally charged atmosphere in the auditorium.
The reunion was presided over by Khulna City Unit Shibir President Arafat Hossain Milon, with Secretary Rakib Hossain conducting the proceedings. Attendees included Jamaat’s Khulna Regional Assistant Director Maulana Abul Kalam Azad, Khulna Metropolitan Ameer Prof. Mahfuzur Rahman, District Ameer Maulana Emran Hossain, Metropolitan Nayeb-e-Ameer Prof. Nazibur Rahman, and Metropolitan Secretary Advocate Sheikh Jahangir Hossain Helal, among others.
Additionally, Narail District Jamaat Ameer Advocate Ataur Rahman Bachchu and other leaders of Jamaat and Shibir addressed the gathering, emphasizing their commitment to the party’s electoral goals.
