Dhaka: Jamaat-e-Islami central executive council member and Dhaka city north Ameer Mohammad Selim Uddin today emphasized that the primary goal of Jamaat politics is the welfare of the people. He made these remarks while acting as the chief guest at a ceremony where Jamaat-e-Islami donated Taka one crore to the National Institute of Cancer Research and Hospital (NICRH) in Mohakhali.
According to Bangladesh Sangbad Sangstha, Selim Uddin highlighted that Jamaat-e-Islami is a political party focused on the welfare of the masses. The party aims to inspire individuals to shape their lives based on the teachings of the Quran and Hadith. Selim Uddin also mentioned that Jamaat is committed to training individuals to develop their character with integrity.
The event also featured Dr. SM Khaliduzzaman, Jamaat's nominated candidate for the Dhaka-17 constituency, as the special guest. Banani thana Ameer Mizanur Rahman Khan moderated the program, while Dr. Shahjahan Kabir, Director of the Cancer Hospital, delivered the welcome address.
